Expertly created for snack enthusiasts who take pleasure in crafting their own culinary delights, our Backwoods® Snack Stick Seasonings are precisely what you need to transform your favorite meats into flavorful snacks. Crafted with a fusion of top-grade spices, our versatile seasonings are perfect for enhancing the flavor of snack sticks. This variety pack includes four of our most popular flavors: Original, Hot, Pepper, and Pepperoni Flavors.
To prepare, simply grind a mixture containing at least 20% pork or pork fat and then dissolve the seasoning in water, mixing thoroughly with the meat. To make sticks with the Jerky Cannon, start by using it to shoot the mixture onto a cookie sheet. Preheat your oven to 200° F, then place the sticks in the oven to bake until the internal temperature reaches 165° F. Alternatively, you can stuff the mixture into natural sheep casings or 17-21mm collagen casings. Smoke the stuffed casings in a smoker or bake them in the oven at 180° F until the internal temperature reaches 165° F.
The kit contains four pre-measured packets of seasoning (each will make 5 lbs. of snack sticks and includes a packet of cure), and easy-to-follow instructions. Casings sold separately.
