Hickory Balsamic Grilled Rib Eye

Hickory Balsamic Grilled Rib Eye

Ingredients:

  • 4 12-oz Rib eye steaks
  • 3 tablespoons Garlic Hickory Seasoning & Rub
  • 1 tablespoon Balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon red wine
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil

Directions:

  1. Prepare the Steaks:
    • Pat the rib eye steaks dry with a paper towel to remove any excess moisture.
    • Rub both sides of the steaks generously with Garlic Hickory Seasoning & Rub. Ensure the steaks are evenly coated for maximum flavor.
  2. Marinate the Steaks:
    • In a resealable plastic bag or shallow dish, combine balsamic vinegar, red wine, and olive oil.
    • Place the seasoned steaks into the marinade, making sure the steaks are fully submerged or coated on all sides. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to let the flavors infuse.
  3. Preheat the Grill:
    • Preheat your grill to a high heat, around 450°F to 500°F. Clean and oil the grill grates to prevent the steaks from sticking.
  4. Grill the Steaks:
    • Remove the marinated steaks from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes before grilling.
    • Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare (or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F). Adjust the cooking time to your desired doneness:
      • Medium: 5-6 minutes per side (140°F internal temperature)
      • Well-done: 7-8 minutes per side (160°F internal temperature)
  5. Rest the Steaks:
    • Once cooked to your desired doneness, remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest on a plate, loosely covered with foil, for 5-10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the steaks more tender and flavorful.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Slice the steaks against the grain and serve with your favorite side dishes like mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables, or a fresh salad.
    • Garnish with fresh herbs, such as rosemary or thyme, if desired.

Tips:

  • For a smoky touch, try using hickory wood chips on the grill for an extra burst of flavor.
  • Pair with a glass of red wine or your favorite cold beverage for a perfect meal.

Enjoy a perfectly grilled, juicy rib-eye steak with a bold and tangy hickory balsamic glaze that elevates the flavors of this classic cut!
