Sangrita
Ingredients:
- 1 cup tomato juice
- 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 tablespoon pomegranate juice
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (choose your preferred level of heat)
- Dash of Worcestershire sauce
- Pinch of salt
- Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
Directions:
1. Prepare the Juices:
- In a large pitcher, combine the tomato juice, freshly squeezed orange juice, and lime juice. The fresh citrus juices will give your Sangrita a bright, zesty base.
2. Add Pomegranate & Flavoring:
- Stir in the pomegranate juice to add a touch of sweetness and depth.
- Add hot sauce to taste—2 tablespoons will give it a moderate kick, but feel free to adjust based on your preference for heat.
3. Season the Sangrita:
- Add a dash of Worcestershire sauce for an added layer of flavor.
- Sprinkle in a pinch of salt to enhance the overall taste, followed by a generous amount of freshly ground black pepper to balance the flavors.
4. Chill & Serve:
- Mix everything together thoroughly and place the pitcher in the refrigerator to chill for about 30 minutes. The longer it chills, the better the flavors will meld.
- Serve the Sangrita in glasses over ice for a refreshing, spicy beverage.
5. Optional Garnish:
For an extra touch, garnish your Sangrita with a slice of lime or an orange wedge for added freshness.
Hot Sauce Options:
